An Alternative to conventional squats
If you don't have the prerequisites to squat to depth you should give split squats a try. Splits squats will not only decrease the amount of stress placed on the ankles but they increase force production at the hip leading to greater booty gains than conventional squats! With that said all humans should have the ability to squat to depth as it is a basic human function but if your GOAL is to get your booty and legs stronger and bigger split squats are a much better option.
